José Carlos Neves
Dr José Carlos Neves is exclusively dedicated to facial surgery and is the Clinical Director of MYFACE clinic, a multidisciplinary project that brings together specialities that treat the face and body, which he founded in 2008.
A national and international reference in Rhinoplasty, he has developed concepts and techniques worthy of peer recognition. He performs between 200 and 300 rhinoplasties a year.
He is the author of articles and co-author of reference books in the field of Facial Plastic Surgery. He lectures at national and international meetings and congresses in the field; he participates as a surgeon in various courses demonstrating techniques in live surgeries.
In 2022, he was awarded the Davalos Award, an international prize given by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), which recognises a professional of excellence who has made a decisive contribution to the field of Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr José Carlos Neves is also the current president of the EAFPS - European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.
After completing his speciality in Otorhinolaryngology and Cervino-Facial Surgery in 2006, he undertook a Fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery at the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery in 2007-2009.
Under the programme of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies (www.iffpss.org) has trained at world-leading centres in the field (Johns Hopkins, Facial Plastic Surgery Department, Facial Plastic Surgery Center, Baltimore, Maryland USA; Oregon Health & Science University, Department of Facial Plastic Surgery, Portland USA; Larrabee Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, Virginia Manson Hospital, Seattle USA; UCLA, Facial Plastic Surgery Department, Los Angeles USA; Hospital das Clinicas, Universidade de São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil; Fundef - Cranio-Facial Deformaties Foundation, Clinica Dr Wilson Dewes, Port Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil).
