What is it?

A Blepharoplasty is surgery on the upper and lower eyelids.

A Frontoplasty is the surgery that corrects the drooping position of the eyebrows and the wrinkles of the ageing forehead.

This procedure is often associated with blepharoplasty.

Endoscopy has revolutionised the speed of recovery and drastically reduced the number of incisions required.

It's actually a procedure with 3 to 5 incisions of around 15 mm each, hidden in the scalp. After the tissues have been detached, a vertical vector fixation is applied to reposition the eyebrow to the desired level and shape.

This procedure is performed under local or general anaesthesia on an outpatient basis. Recovery follows that of blepharoplasty in about 1 week.

FAQS

blepharoplasty and frontoplasty
The aim of this surgery is to remove excess skin and fat from the eyes, rejuvenating the look.
On the upper eyelid, you'll notice excess skin that accompanies the eyebrow drop.

This excess skin can be removed under local or general anaesthetic, leaving a scar line that is hidden in the groove created in the upper eyelid by the opening of the eyes.

Upper Blepharoplasty is usually accompanied by Endoscopic Frontoplasty (eyebrow repositioning).
Lower blepharoplasty treats fat pockets and wrinkles under the eyes, which make the eyes look tired and heavy. The incision is made just below the eyelashes and the healing is almost imperceptible.

This procedure can be accompanied by volume repositioning of the malar regions and nasojugal furrows, giving a very rejuvenated appearance (see Bioplasty, Fillers and Mid-Face Lift).

The surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis. Sometimes there is some bruising, so the recovery period is about a week.
The price of eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty depends on the assessment of each case.
