What is it?

Laser treatment for vascular effusions is an aesthetic procedure that uses laser energy to close the dilated blood vessels that cause effusions. Vascular effusions, also known as telangiectasias, are thin, reddish veins that appear on the skin, usually on the legs, face and breasts.

Laser treatment for vascular strokes is a safe and effective procedure, with visible results in just a few weeks. The number of sessions required varies according to the size and location of the strokes, but generally 2 to 3 sessions are needed.

One of the recommended forms of treatment for vascular lesions on the body and face is the use of the ND:YAG laser, as it is a fast and effective method.

By applying a laser/light pulse to the skin, the energy is absorbed by the haemoglobin in the vessels and transferred to the vessel walls, collapsing them.

FAQS

Laser for strokes
Vascular effusions, also known as telangiectasias, are thin, reddish veins that appear on the skin. They are caused by a dilation of the blood vessels. Vascular effusions can appear anywhere on the body, but are most common on the legs, face and breasts.
The laser emits light that is absorbed by haemoglobin, the pigment that gives blood its colour. The laser's energy causes the blood vessel to collapse, which is then absorbed by the body.
The number of sessions required varies according to the size and location of the strokes. Generally, 2 to 3 sessions are required, with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks between sessions.
Results can be seen from the first session and progressively over 2 to 3 weeks.
The results of laser treatment for strokes are usually permanent. However, it is possible for some strokes to recur over time.
Sun exposure and hot places should be avoided. The application of anti-inflammatory ointment to the treated areas may be recommended to reduce pain or discomfort.
